Abstract

This paper aims to explore the economic benefits, current situation and prospects of distance education. Distance education refers to a form of education that uses remote communication technologies such as the Internet to realize educational activities such as sharing of educational resources, delivering teaching content, and communicating and interacting with learners. The research purposes of this paper include the following aspects: to study the economic benefits of distance education, including cost-effectiveness, time efficiency, flexibility, etc.; to explore the current situation of distance education, including the global distance education market, the development history of distance education, distance education application fields, etc.; analyze the economic prospects of distance education, including the market prospects, technology prospects, policy prospects, etc. of distance education.
