Against the backdrop of artificial intelligence reshaping global production and daily life while reconfiguring the landscape of international competition, the intrinsic alignment between Chinese modernization and the concept of a community with a shared future for mankind—in terms of core principles, goal orientation, and practical pathways—has been imbued with new contemporary significance. Both concepts are grounded in the laws of human societal development and respond to the challenges of global governance. They uphold shared human values of peace, development, equity, justice, democracy, and freedom, while also offering innovative approaches to address new issues arising in the AI era, such as technological transformation and governance deficits. Chinese-style modernization and the community with a shared future for mankind demonstrate logical consistency in their core principles, goal setting, and implementation pathways. This coherence manifests not only in their shared commitment to universal human values but also in their profound understanding and innovative approaches to the global governance system and international order. Chinese modernization presents the world with a viable pathway and exemplary model for actively building a community with a shared future for mankind. It propels human society toward a more inclusive and sustainable stage of development, facilitating the transition of global governance from the “rules-based competition” phase to the third stage of “value-based collaboration.”
